May 4, 2017 by

The Kern County Department of Human Services (KCDHS) is proud to announce two upcoming events for the community. The upcoming events will take place in Bakersfield and Delano.

Job Fest events are held yearly at various locations and are designed to align individuals with organizations seeking reliable employees. The event will feature information on employment opportunities and tips on searching for the right job.

Each event provides advance information on participating employers, information will be on hand outlining what positions they may have available and a description of the postings. The organization’s main focus is to connect employers with those seeking jobs and it is likely participating businesses will have brochures and flyers available to attendees to explore opportunities.

KCDHS focuses on helping children, individuals and families become self-sufficient in a safe and healthy environment. Its core values include continued learning, diversity, creative solutions, constructive feedback, and respect for the individual. The department also offers an assortment of information on local jobs.

The Bakersfield Job Vest will be held next Thursday, May 11 at the Rabobank Convention Center, 1001 Truxtun Ave from 9:00 am to noon. The Delano Job Fest will be held on June 15 at the Cesar E. Chavez High School, 800 Browning Road, and will take place during the same hours as in Bakersfield.
