Nature celebrated at the wildlife festival

A lot of people enjoy the outdoor activities that come with the winterseason or like to learn about how the natural world copes with some brutal conditions. Organizations such as the Princess Anne Recreation Center help to bring attention to area wildlife by sponsoring the Winter Wildlife Festival.

The festival features several events which will be taking place in various venues in Virginia Beach. Many of these events have a separate charge, but just as many are free. Free events will include a bird walk, an owl prowl, a photography field session, a Mackay Island excursion, and an urban birding tour. There will also be workshops about various topics, such as birds and environmental issues. The exhibit hall at the Center will feature several environmental groups and businesses selling nature-related products. There is also a decoy carvers display and the nearby Princess Anne Library will also have some special activities going on.

It is very likely that the environmental groups and businesses who will be taking part in the festival will be working with Virginia Beach printing companies to prepare. They will no doubt require booklets and printed material to hand out to those who are interested in their work. Printing companies may even be able to provide them with promotional items such as postcards to hand out to everyone who stops by their booth.

The Winter Wildlife Festival takes place in and around the Princess Anne Recreation Center from January 25 to 27 from 8:00 am – 7:30 pm each day. For more information, call 757-426-0022.
