Art comes to the park

The 37th annual Artisans in the Park festival will take place at Great Neck Park on September 8 and 9. Admission is free to this festival, which was originally called the Princess Anne Park Arts and Crafts Festival.

The festival will feature musical entertainment, a children’s stage presenting family-friendly performers, plenty of food concessions and, of course, there will be handmade arts and crafts for display and sale. Artists who wish to showcase their art at the show must submit several slides of their work along with a $20 fee. A jury will choose which artists will be allowed to take part in the festival. The artwork must be handmade by the artist, who must also be in attendance at their booth throughout the event.

Artists who are selected to take part in the festival are more than likely to be working with Virginia Beach printing companies to prepare. Part of being able to sell artworks to the public is for that artwork to be noticed by the people attending the festival. Investing in banner printing and poster printing services will guarantee that a booth will get the notice it deserves. Hanging a colorful banner over a booth or hanging a poster with an example of the artwork will is almost certain to draw people. In addition, artists might also consider arranging for business card printing. A business card put in with a sold artwork, or handed out to interested parties, is a good way to build future business for the artist.
