Two upcoming events near Vienna set to raise funds for charity

There are two events coming up in the Vienna area this September that will raise funds for worthwhile charities operating in the area.

The Kids’ Consignment and Vendor Fair, presented by the Northern Virginia Parents of Multiples (NVPOM), will take place in Falls Church late this September. The event will feature new or like-new items, mostly for children. This will include strollers, bikes, toys, clothing, and baby accessories. All items will be reduced to half-price during the last hour of the sale. This is the second of two fairs that are held annually.

The 8th annual Walk and Family Fun Day is also taking place in September. It is held by the Vienna Optimists and raises funds for Growing Hope, an organization that helps children with cancer; since 2006, the walk has raised over $250,000. The event will consist of a three mile walk. After that, there will be games, live auctions, raffles, inflatables, face painting, and music provided by Cowboy Hat. Everyone who donates funds will receive a t-shirt. Walkers gather pledges from their friends and family, or donate money directly.

It’s likely that Vienna printing companies will be asked to supply marketing materials such as flyers to the organizers of each event.

The Kid’s Consignment and Vendor Fair will take place at Luther Jackson Middle School on September 28 from 9:00am – 1:00pm. Admission is free. For more information, visit the NVPOM website.

The Walk and Family Fun Day will take place at Vienna Town Green on September 28 from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Visit the Vienna Optimists’ website for more information.
