Richmond comes to aid of employment searchers

August 22, 2017 by

Richmond jobseekers and those who are looking to move forward in their career may wish to make plans to attend an employment fair that will soon be held in the city.

This will be the first ever Annual Career Fair for Fair Choice Employment, and it will give applicants a chance to make a good first impression with potential employers by meeting with them face to face.

Those who attend are reminded to dress appropriately for the occasion and to bring plenty of résumés and digital business cards to give out to the companies that will be on site. Staff will be on hand to provide assistance with online applications to anyone who needs it.

The event is being brought to the community, in part, through the support and assistance of the Chesterfield Colonial Heights Department of Social Services. It will be held in the Meadowvale Library, which can be found at 4301 Meadowvale Road in Richmond. It is open to everyone, and the doors will open to jobseekers starting at 10:30 am. A local printer can supply custom business cards, copies of résumés and covering letters, and other materials that people who plan on attending can use to put their best foot forward.

October 5 has been selected as the date for this function. Anyone who would like to find out more can do so on the Virginia governmental website.
