New Orleans returns to Norfolk this summer

June 2, 2018 by

The 29th annual Bayou Boogaloo Music and Cajun Food Festival is taking place in Norfolk this month for three days.

The festival is a celebration of New Orleans spirit. There will be plenty of Cajun food to enjoy prepared by Louisiana-inspired chefs. This will include lots of crawfish, jambalaya and gumbo. There will also be plenty of Louisiana beers and a Southern Comfort cocktail to try.

The music will be provided on two stages. Some of those performing at this year’s festival include Robert Randolph and The Family Band, the New Orleans Swamp Donkeys, and Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience.

There will also be an Arts Market of New Orleans, partially presented by the Arts Council of New Orleans. There will be a variety of arts and crafts for sale including handmade jewelry, ceramics and fine art.

Tickets to the festival are $30 for a three-day pass and $15 each day. Boat slips can be reserved for an extra $50 in advance or $75 on the day.

Logo design for festivals such as this one is often provided by a Norfolk printing company. The logo is then used on advertising and at the event.

The Bayou Boogaloo Music and Cajun Food Festival will be held at Town Point Park from June 22 to 24. For more information, call 757-441-2018.
