Hot Topic seminar in McLean

The National Contract Management Association (NCMA) is holding their next Hot Topic educational and informational seminar and dinner meeting at Maggiano’s in Tysons II Galleria. The event will take place on January 24 from 5:30-8 pm. Tickets are $50 for NCMA members, $60 for non-members and $45 for government officials.

The speaker at the event will be James Phillips of Centre Consulting. He will be talking about ‘The New Ordering and BPA Rules under Schedule Contracts: Get Ready for New Competition and More Transparency.’ This seminar will be of great interest to those who do business in the area.

Most of the evening will be given over to networking; appetizers will be served. Networking events are important to your business and you should try to attend at least one a month. Forming friendships and partnerships with your fellow area business leaders, including those from McLean where the event will be held, is paramount. The most important tool you can have in networking is a business card; printing extras before every networking event is recommended and encouraged. Hand a card out to everyone you meet, collect as many cards as you can and follow up with those you have met. Networking will begin from 5:30 pm and Mr Phillips will speak beginning at 7:15 pm.

Business regulations and rules keep changing all the time and t is important that business leaders keep themselves informed. The seminars conducted by the NCMA help keep local business leaders up to date on the changes that will affect their company and their profit margins.
