Green Living Expo to form part of GMU’s Community Earth Week Fair

March 20, 2013 by

Earth Day is celebrated in many areas of the world every April 22, and many communities in the United States extend the celebration to Earth Week, offering many events to honor nature. With this in mind, the annual Green Living Expo is scheduled to be part of George Mason University’s Community Earth Week Fair this year.

The expo, which will only run for one day, will feature green or environmentally friendly companies showcasing their products and services. It will also involve a wealth of children’s activities, seminars, the handing out of the Arlington Green Patriot Award, and a raffle. A silent auction will feature rain barrels artistically designed by Arlington public school students. There is bound to be something that will appeal to each member of the family in what will no doubt be a good way to introduce children to environmentalism.

Tables or booths can be rented from $225 to $550, and sponsorships are also available from $750 to $2,000. No doubt many of the Arlington businesses taking part in the expo will be preparing with the help of local printing companies. They are sure to want to help their booth get the attention it deserves – perhaps by handing a colorful banner from a table or by providing free promotional items such as pens, notepads, and other stationery.

The Green Living Expo will take place at the GMU Founder’s Hall on April 21 from 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm. Admission is free. For more information call 703-228-6427.
