Full afternoon of July 4 fun on its way to Arlington

June 4, 2013 by

The annual Fourth of July celebration in Arlington will be held at Long Bridge Park, which offers a great view of the Washington, D.C. fireworks display.

There will be plenty of activities for everyone in the family to take part in during the afternoon, and this will include children’s activities such as face painting, balloon art, and moon bounces. Games, which will appeal to all ages, will include the likes of ladder golf, hoops, duck pin bowling, bocce, and kickball.

Of course, there will also be a large variety of foods to choose from, such as hot dogs and hamburgers. In addition, local vendors will be selling a variety of arts and crafts items like jewelry, clothing, paintings, and other handmade items. Needless to say, the evening will finish off with a view of the fireworks display from the country’s capital city, capping off an excellent way to celebrate the birthday of the United States with the family.

Arts and crafts vendors can rent space for $75, although only three of each type will be allowed. Food vendors can rent space for $100. Many of these Arlington-based vendors might want to invest in such services as banner printing to make their booth stand out from the rest.

It will all take place on July 4 from 3:00 pm – 10:00 pm, and the event is free to attend. Shuttle buses will be available from various downtown locations. For more information about the plans, call 703-228-3000.
