Crystal City the right environment for seminars

September 15, 2012 by

The 6th annual Fall Technical Seminar of the Environmental Information Association (EIA) will take place next month at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City. Tickets are $195 for EIA members or $245 for non-members.

The event will kick off with the MidAtlantic Golf Scramble at the Army Navy Country Club, beginning at 1:00 PM. Fees are $125 and include golf, a cart, lunch and prizes for long drive and closest to the pin. This will be followed by a reception held at the Hyatt Regency beginning at 7:30 pm. The reception will be an excellent networking opportunity for those who will be attending the seminar and there will definitely be time to exchange business cards and to forge new business partnerships. Sponsorships are also available from $100 – $650.

The second day of the seminar will include several topics of discussion and lunch. Topics on the agenda are varied and should be of great interest to companies and manufacturers who want to ensure they are up-to-date on the latest federal and state requirements.

Many businesses have already dedicated themselves to being more environmentally-friendly. For example, printing companies in the area, including Arlington, are already following stringent environmental standards. They are using vegetable-based inks, are purchasing previously recycled paper, are recycling their own waste paper, and have strict policies in disposing of hazardous materials.

With the event scheduled to take place October 11 – 12, it would be wise for those hoping to get involved to start making their plans now and perhaps getting some business card printing done.
