Businesses to ring in Chinese New Year

The 7th annual Chinese New Year Festival is taking place in Arlington this February.

This coming year will be the Year of the Horse, and the festival is set to feature live entertainment, free food, a career fair and a dragon parade. There will also be a fashion show, cultural performances, calligraphy demonstrations and vendors representing area small businesses, artisans and non-profit organizations.

This event is a great opportunity for small business owners to make their name better known in the community. It will also allow residents to become more aware of what is available to them in terms of merchandise and services in the area.

Many of the exhibitors who are taking part in the festival may want to make their booths more attractive to passers-by and to make them fit in to the theme of the event. One way of doing this would be to work with Arlington print shops to order services such as colorful sign and banner printing. These can be displayed on their booths. Such items may attract more visitors and result in more sales.

The Chinese New Year Festival is being held at Luther Jackson Middle School on February 1 from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM; the snow date is February 8. Admission is free. Booths can be rented from $200 – $375 for arts and crafts, $250 – $450 for commercial and $100 – $180 for non-profit; the prices for those who wish to sell food is $450.
