Arlington Chamber honors its own this December

December 5, 2013 by

The 90th annual meeting of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce is taking place this month.

The meeting consists of a luncheon, speeches, and awards. The Chamber executives are set to share upcoming plans for 2014, discuss the state of business, and recount successes of the past year.

The awards to be given out are the 2013 President’s and the Chair’s awards and the Committee of the Year. They celebrate those members of the chamber who have gone beyond the average.

In addition to what is planned for the meeting, it will be an excellent networking opportunity for both members and non-members. There should be plenty of time before, after, and during lunch to exchange business cards and to briefly discuss important topics of interest to those in attendance. It is possible that future collaborations could come out of those contacts.

This event will probably be advertised quite widely in the Arlington area business community. This usually means that organizers will work with local printing companies to produce items such as flyers to be distributed to those living in the community.

The annual meeting is being held this year at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel on December 13 from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm. Tickets are $55 for chamber members and $65 for non-members. Sponsors can purchase tables of 10 for $250, $750, or $1,500, as well as a table of six for $500. For more information about the meeting, call the chamber at 703-525-2400.
