Two events are taking place in Queens next month that will help raise funds for Kiwanis Club programs.

The first of these will be the Daily News Golden Gloves boxing tournament. It will be presented by the East River Kiwanis Club and the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Queens County. It will raise funds for the Catholic Lawyers Guild scholarship fund, Hour Children, and Kamp Kiwanis. Tickets are $25 each or $50 for ringside. Sponsorships are available for $200 up to $400.

The 55th annual dinner dance of the Kiwanis Club of Howard Beach will be held at the end of the month. It is set to honor Joe DeMarco, past president of the club. Bob LoCascio will also receive the Clement Vicari Service Award and the Russo Family will be given the Community Service Award. The evening will consist of a cocktail reception, dinner, and music from DJ Satisfaction Guaranteed. Tickets are $125 each.

The boxing tournament organizers have already invested in poster printing services to advertise in the Astoria area.

The Daily News Golden Gloves boxing tournament will be held at the Chian Federation on March 16 beginning at 6:00 PM. Call 347-448-2549 to learn more.

The dinner dance will take place at Russo’s on the Bay on March 31. Contact Dino at 646-401-2805 or Jody at 917-387-5113 for more information.
