Fundraiser to help local grassroots organizations

The 25th anniversary gala of the New York Environmental Justice Alliance (NY-EJA) is taking place next month.

Guests will enjoy drinks and a sit-down dinner, along with music and dancing. In addition, several individuals and organizations that have contributed to the NY-EJA will be honored it what will be a networking opportunity for local environmental groups that will help raise awareness amongst the general public on what the organization actually does.

The NY-EJA links various grassroots organizations in low-income areas to raise public awareness, and to involve more people of color in the environmental movement. The organization also promotes environmental and climate justice.

Sponsorships are available for $650, which include four tickets and a mention in the event program that everyone will receive.

This fundraising event will likely attract guests from all over the community, including some from Astoria. Organizers may invest in flyer printing and other services to help get the word out to the public.

The 25th anniversary gala of the New York Environmental Justice Alliance will be held at the Roulette Performance and Arts Space in Brooklyn on April 6 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Tickets are $175 each or $300 for two, and tables of eight are available for $1,991. There is a discount for community members.
