Arlington gets ready to ‘Rock the Loop’

May 1, 2018 by

The annual Rock the Loop Live Music series will begin in a few days. The free concert series will run on Thursday evenings for May, June and July.

Lloyd Dobler Effect, a rock and roll band, will be the opening concert. Other music entertainment slated for May will be country singer and song writer Shane Gamble, Sandra Dean (a soul, classic rock, and blues singer), and Gary Smallwood singing classic, country and blues rock. Driven to Clarity, also a rock band, will be the last group for the month.

June will have four performances beginning with Hand Painted Swinger, a pop-rock group. That act will be followed by the Elizabeth, Phil & Chris trio part of the Lloyd Dobler Effect. The Yellow Tie Guy with their rock/alterative/folk music will perform a week later, and Smokin’ Lounge closes the month.

July will also have four music concerts. These will include solo performances by Chris Bruno from the Lloyd Dobler Effect and Phil Kominski (the songwriter also of the Lloyd Dobler Effect). Brian Weber will perform blues, funk, reggae and folk rock and the Nina Casey Trio will be playing the blues.

Fans of these groups will want to get online and buy promotional products to wear or bring to the concerts.

The Rock the Loop Live Music series will begin May 3 and present performers every Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 pm until August at Market Common Clarendon, 2800 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington.
