Arlington gets fit for summer

The Spring 2018 Discover Arlington Fitness & Wellness Festival will be coming in a few days.

The festival will be an opportunity for Arlington residents to get acquainted with local wellness companies, fitness studios, and wholesome food stores.

Fitness studios will be taking over half of the park with 8-to-10 minute workouts. These will be free and will give everyone a chance to participate and see what to expect when they sign up for programs. The event will have 20 minutes between each workout session to allow prospective customers to cool down and attend the Relax and Rejuvenation area.

The Relax and Rejuvenation area will be where festival attendees can purchase healthy food and drinks from local health food stores, such as Honey Flower Foods, KIND Snacks, Sunniva Super Coffee, and Greenheart Juice Shop. This section of the event will also have wellness companies handing out coupons, free samples and giving demonstrations. Some of these will include VETOGA, Arlington Pain and Rehab OPR, and Megan Crozier Nutrition Therapy.

The first 500 visitors will get swag bags filled with discounts, free classes and promotional products donated by companies such as CYCLEBAR, Clarendon FitSol22, and Soupergirl Sasya Foods.

VIP swag bags will include all the general swag bag goodies, plus items from Crazy Richard’s Peanut Butter, Aweetgreen, GoMacro Goute and Michele’s Granola.

The festival is slated for Saturday, April 7 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Gateway Park, 925 N. Garfield St., Arlington.
