Victorian estate holds inaugural open house

A Holly Days Open House will be held for three days later this month at the Stevens Estate in North Andover.

Sufficiently close to Andover that residents of that community will want to tour the Victorian red brick mansion festively decorated for the season, the Stevens Estate will also offer a variety of recipe and craft making activities.

Tastebud’s Kitchen will have cupcake decorating sessions on the Friday and Saturday, Dottie’s Delight’s will be providing handcrafted candy and sweets, and the caterers from the estate – Timothy S Hopkins, A Day to Remember, and Two Chefs Are Better than One – will be supplying light refreshments.

Kevin Wery from Boston, Nunan’s Greenhouses, Enterprises by Michael (Bradford), and Smolak Farms will be designing the rooms with foliage and décor in the spirit of the season.

The Stevens Estate is on the National Register of Historic Places and one of the few grand estates of the Victorian era that remains in North America.

Holly Days Open House will be taking place from Friday December 18 through Sunday December 20. Those organizing events like this often consider using a poster printing company to print items that can be displayed throughout the community and surrounding towns. These could entice people to take time out of their busy schedules and step back in history for this special event.
