Wingstop opens in Anchorage

Wingstop, a chicken wings eatery, and has opened its first location in the state of Alaska in Anchorage.

The chain of franchises has over 1,000 locations already in operation in seven countries and 40 states. The new store is on Northern Lights Boulevard and is owned by Melissa and Dean Siracusa, who own three other locations.

Siracusa said they were excited about bringing Wingstop to Alaska, which is embracing the concept with enthusiasm. They are particularly happy to bring the restaurant to Anchorage.

The menu focuses on sides, fries, and wings, both boneless and bone-in, along with chicken tenders. There are 11 sauces available for patrons to choose for their wings, including favorites like garlic Parmesan, lemon pepper, mango habanero, and the original hot sauce. The flavors go well with the restaurant’s sides, which they prepare fresh daily.

Although chicken wings and tenders are the mainstays of the menu, Wingstop also offers a range of freshly-made sides like baked beans, which each store makes in-house, as well as seasoned fried, potato salad, coleslaw, veggie sticks, and fresh rolls. Patrons who have room for dessert can pick up a chunky chocolate brownie.
