Ballast Point Brewery to open in Disney district

Ballast Point Brewery is scheduled to open in downtown Anaheim later this year.

Global entertainment giant Disney approached Ballast Point with the offer to open outside the park in downtown Anaheim. Marty Birkel, president of Ballast Point, said it was an honor, because there are so many great breweries in the downtown area.

The Ballast Point new location will have an outdoor beer garden, tasting room, and kitchen. It will be 7,300 square feet in size.

The brewery will hold about 225 people, and offer over 100 draft handles for pouring beers. The menu is casual and family-oriented, with burgers, fish tacos, and pretzels served with mustard made with beer and cheese. Other offerings are shrimp and grits, chicken pot pies, sandwiches, salads, and desserts.

The menu has gluten free options, a kids’ menu, and vegetarian entrees. The beverage menu includes Ballast Points beers, and soft drinks.

Patrick Finnegan, vice president of Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney, said Ballast Point is a perfect fit because our customers are always asking for new dining experiences.

Ballast Point has six tasting locations in California, but this will be its first opening in Orange Country.

An Anaheim printing company is able to help restaurants, cafes, breweries, coffee houses, retail stores, and businesses with marketing services for advertising and special events.
