Albuquerque streets set to welcome Day of the Tread

The crisp days of fall are on the way for Albuquerque, and cyclists from all across the city will be coming together to take part in a Halloween-themed event.

This year will mark the Day of the Tread’s 11th year, and to help mark the occasion, a special celebration has been planned. Cyclists can select form the many routes that will be mapped out for the day, but that is only a part of the fun set to take place.

Before they head out for the day, the participants are invited to come to a pre-event gathering that the organizers hope will keep them motivated. Once the cyclists have completed their ride, they will be welcome to stay and enjoy the post-ride activities planned.

Along with all of these, there will be themed recharge zones set up along the routes, along with entertainment, contests, and much more. Riders are encouraged to wear a costume if they wish, and join in the family friendly fun. A local printer can supply reusable pop-up banners, race bibs, signage, prize certificates, and any other printed materials that are needed to keep an event like this running smoothly.

Day of the Tread, which is set to take place on October 29 at Civic Plaza, will serve as a fundraiser for Pegasus Legal Services for Children. More details and a chance to register can be found on the Visit Albuquerque website.
