Albuquerque invited to take a step back in time

March 1, 2017 by

The city of Albuquerque will be taking a step back in time to the medieval days, and the public is invited to come out and enjoy the fun.

The city’s Balloon Museum will be hosting the event that will feature the culture, food and music that would have been popular centuries ago. There will be live entertainment, people in period costumes, living history displays and exhibits, a showcase of equestrian skills, a Faire Wear Show, a group wedding, shopping, themed food and much more. The kids can spend time in the Children’s realm, adult beverages will be served in the Tilted Tankard Tavern, and even Fluffy and Fido can get in on the fun by participating in the Pet Fashion Contest. A local print shop will be able to supply an event like this with custom drinkware that can be used in its tavern and other food service areas and can also be sold as a souvenir of the day.

The Albuquerque Renaissance Faire, which is being hosed by the city and the Barony of al- Barran and members of the Society of Creative Anachronism, will be held on April 29th. Admission starts at $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children ages 4 to 12. Anyone under that age will be admitted free of charge. All those who are interested in finding out more are invited to visit the city’s website for further details.
