Carlsbad set to go green

Going green can sound like a complicated proposition, but I Love A Clean San Diego (ILACSD) is offering free events near Carlsbad that can make showing the Earth some love easy and maybe even fun.

ILACSD has arranged a series of three workshops, and they will all address different topics related to sustainable, green living. The first will be held in early February, and it will share secrets of how easy it can be to incorporate zero waste practices into their daily routine.

The event will be set up to include booths and other displays that explore cleaning and personal care products that are environmentally friendly. Bathroom, laundry, and common room practices will all be included, and the public can ask questions and receive helpful advice.

This activity has been planned for all ages, and includes a hands-on component. Adults can make their own DIY toothpaste, while the younger folks can decorate a spray bottle that they can fill with eco-friendly cleaning products. A raffle has also been planned, and all of this is on offer free of charge. A poster printing pro can help market an event like this by providing promotional posters and other materials.

Once they register for the morning, those who plan on attending the function are encouraged to look through their home to see if there are any items they can contribute to the swap and shop tables. These will help to divert unwanted items from landfills, and give new life to them.

The first ILACSD session will be open to the public on February 2. It will be set up at 441 Quail Gardens Drive in Encinitas.
