Gem fair returns to San Rafael

January 5, 2019 by

Jewelry makers, crafters, and gem lovers in San Rafael will have a chance to attend the Gem Faire.

Located at 10 Avenue of the Flags, the Gem Faire will be using the Marin Center exhibit hall. Over 60 exhibitors will be in attendance, including jewelers, bead sellers, and cleaners. The Gem Faire is a traveling event that visits locations across California and other states as well, including Utah, Washington, and Oregon.

This show features sellers primarily, but also a couple trade stations and some jewelry cleaners as well. There will be displays of precious and semi-precious stones, beads, metals, minerals, and more. Finished jewelry will be available for those looking to purchase, and crafters will be able to find various materials as well.

This location has a large parking lot attached with handicap accessible spaces available. The faire will run from a Friday through a Sunday, with different hours each day. Friday morning will feature a wholesale opening from 10:00 am to noon, with regular hours from noon to 6:00 pm. On Saturday, the fair will be open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and on Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission is free with the donation of a can of food for the SF-Marin Food Bank.

Events like this often benefit from banner printing, as a banner on the side of the building can attract quite a few visitors. This event is currently scheduled to take place January 18 through 20.
