Comic capers coming to Huntsville

January 3, 2019 by

The Southeast’s premier geek event is being held for the third year in a row at a historic Huntsville venue – the Lowe Mill A&E.

This year’s Comic Con will have dozens of guests among which will be comic book artists, TV actors and writers. Attendees can explore gaming, new comics and shop throughout the Mill for pop culture merchandise.

Guests will sign one item per person for free, and among the featured guests will be NWA World Tag Team Champion Dennis Condrey.

Once a cotton mill, the more than 171,000 sq. ft. facility will contain a variety of working artist’s studios. Attendees will find over 200 artists, makers, and one-of-a-kind eateries within those studios.

Unique to the Friday, Indie Artist Workshops will be held, and exclusively on Saturday, interview panels will take place. Among the activities enjoyed by both self-described geeks and non-geeks is the Cosplay Contest held at the end of the final day.

Poster printing is often one of the methods used to promote events such as Comic Con. With so much to see at the Huntsville Comic Con organizers strongly encourage attendance both days, which is the most cost effective option; admission for one day is $15 and for both days is $20.

Promoted as fun for the whole family, the event takes place on Friday, January 18 and Saturday, January 19.
