Peoria area meeting to offer public speaking tips

December 23, 2018 by

If asked, many people may say that speaking in public is one of their greatest fears. Toastmasters is an international organization that helps people become better at addressing a crowd and also improves their leadership skills, and its Peacock (9895) club is offering a free session in the Peoria area.

The hour-long event will offer an introduction to Toastmasters and what it does, and the goal of the occasion is for each person who takes part to walk away feeling more confident in their ability to address a group. The atmosphere will be friendly and welcoming, and it will offer practical tips and other advice.

The participants in the session will discover how they can connect and build trust with their audience, and they will also be given tips about how they can speak with confidence and engage the group they are speaking to. The will also learn how to conduct a meeting and build on their leadership skills.

Peacock Toastmasters chapter was first stood up around 2000, and it encourages anyone who is considering joining to come to the event and check it out in person. Name tags, Table Talk winner certificates, brochures, and other items for this sort of function can be provided by an area printing services provider.

Friday, January 3 has been set as the date for this opportunity to learn more about what Toastmasters is all about. It will be taking place at 21000 North 75th Avenue in Glendale.
