Lafayette fundraiser to show local vets some love

When a military member becomes seriously injured, it can take its toll, but a supportive community can make a big difference, and this is the reason behind a tasty Lafayette fundraiser to start the new year.

Sentinels of Freedom has organized a Crab Feed fundraiser, and while the crustaceans may be the stars of the show, there will be lots of other items to savor. There will also be entertainment, a raffle, drinks, and time to make new friends and reconnect with old ones.

The evening will kick off with live music and a chance for the guests to mingle. After this, they will head to the tables for the feast, which will be followed by music, dancing and drinks.

The menu for the occasion includes cold cuts, local fresh French bread, and crab served two ways. There will also be dessert, and each ticket holder will receive one non-alcoholic beverage. Wine will be poured, and premium wines can also be purchased. Guests are also welcome to bring their own.

This event will raise money to help provide support to wounded veterans who are working to reintegrate into the civilian world. Brochures that contain more details about the host and how the funds raised will be used can be prepared by a printing services company for an occasion like this.

The ticket price for this crab feast, which will be held on Saturday, January 5 at 5:30 pm, starts at $60. The venue is 1035 Carol Lane in Lafayette.
