Local model railway museum planning magical Saturday evening events

The Twin City Model Railroad Museum offers a variety of different activities throughout the year, and one of its ‘Night Trains’ sessions are some of its most popular events in the Oakdale area.

Each Saturday throughout the months of December, January and February, the museum is offering the public a chance to stop by and view its different layouts by night. They are all lit with soft lighting, and the trains that will be coming down the tracks will be models of vintage styles, each lit up for the occasion.

The museum will be creating a special scenario for this annual event. It will center on the make believe town of Matlin, which has been hit by a blizzard, and the buildings and other components of the layout will include colorful Christmas lights and other decorations.

These Saturday evening events are family friendly, and all ages are welcome. Discounted tickets can be purchased online, but anyone who chooses to buy theirs at the door will have to pay the regular admission price. A local printer can meet with the organizers of this type of occasion, and can be counted on to supply an assortment of promotional products that fit in with the overall theme for the occasion.

The Night Trains comes down the tracks every on Saturday evening up until February 23. The Museum is located in St. Paul at 668 Transfer Road.
