North Conway library planning annual book sale

Each year, the North Conway Public Library both raises money and helps to encourage a love of reading by hosting a huge book sale, and 2019 will be no exception. It will offer thousands of books along with other items, many of which will have been donated by the local community.

The book sale will include titles in almost every subject area, and 90% will have been contributed by area donors. There will also be CDs, audio books and DVDs on offer.

An event like this can be an opportunity for people to pass along books and other materials once they are finished with them, and since they will be sold at a greatly reduced price, it makes it possible for everyone to stock their bookshelves, whatever their income level might be.

The occasion tends to draw quite a crowd, and while they browse, the shoppers can chat with the others who come out.

The organizers of the sale are asking for donations of books, DVDs and CDs that are in saleable condition. A complete list of what can and cannot be accepted for donation has been prepared, and it also includes details about when and where items can be dropped off. Posters can be created by a poster printing company to make the public aware that this type of event has been planned, and it can also provide details about how they can get involved.

This year’s Gigantic Annual Book Sale will be open to the public on July 14 and 15. It will be held on the library’s Main Street Property.
