Andover appoints new director of veterans’ services

The town of Andover recently hired a new veterans services director, following the resignation in mid-August of Alicia Reddin.

The new director, Mark Comeiro, lives in Woburn, and was in the United States navy for 20 years from 1994 to 2014. He most recently was the veterans’ officer in Watertown where he served for years before taking the position in Andover.

Comeiro started the job last month and commented that he is enjoying working in the town and feels honored to have been offered this position. He is looking forward to the patriotic events and being able to add onto those events and create more events of his own. He added that is looking forward to working with the veterans of the town and becoming known in the community for what he can offer them.

Andrew Flanagan, Town Manager, said that Comeiro was a good fit for the position, given his combination of experience in the field of veterans’ affairs and his service in the Navy. Flanagan added that he will be an important resource for the veterans in the community and be a good addition to the team of Andover officials.

When people take on new positions such as this, business card printing can be used so these people can let others know of their new jobs.
