Madison families to enjoy New Year’s Eve

December 17, 2018 by

Madison will have a couple of options for families this year on New Year’s Eve.

Groups can take a walk downtown on New Year’s Eve day and enjoy 2018’s Madison Family Eve. Some of the entertainment will be from Wisconsin’s own T.J. Howell, who combines juggling, comedy and unicycle riding. James the Magician has been performing his magic for over 30 years, while the Wild Rumpus Circus will have guests hula hooping, trying the trapeze and the German wheel, juggling, and generally clowning around.

Pictures taken during this phase of the evening may end up being used for future poster printing. The evening will end with the countdown and balloon drop at 7:30 pm.

Madison families may opt for My New Year’s Eve instead, where musician David Landau will be performing four shows. Infinity Martial Arts will coordinate interactive play and there will be a balloon artist and two inflatables. Cookie decorating will last as long as supplies hold out. This event will also have a balloon drop at 7:30 pm.

Madison Family Eve will take place December 31 from 4:00 pm until 7:30 pm at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center, 1 John Nolen Drive.

My New Year’s Eve will also be December 31, and runs from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Deva Sports Center at West Side Greater Madison, 8312 Forsythia Street in Middleton.
