Studio City area offers snow fun for charity

December 17, 2018 by

For those in Studio City waxing nostalgic for snow, the Kling Street Kids is presenting its 17th annual Kling Street Kids’ Snow Fest 2018. Hundreds are expected to attend the weekend event.

The organizers are trucking in 10 tons of the cold white stuff for sledding. Firemen from the local Fire Department will be showing little ones their fire engine. Starbucks will have hot beverages available for purchase and donuts and tacos will be available, too.

A silent auction, petting zoo and live performances will be only a part of the lineup, and vendors will be selling merchandise.

If this year is anything like last year, when the event became an actual street fair, there will be a photo booth, video game truck, balloon and snow cone makers, and a holiday train. Pillow Pet adoptions may again send its pillows on Christmas Eve to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Someone from the Kling Street Kids organization may wish to take pictures of the event and take them to local print shops for poster printing.

The event is to raise funds for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. This year, the organizers are hoping to top the donation from last year, which was close to $27,000.

The Kling Street Kids Snow Fest 2018 is slated for this Saturday, December 22, from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm on Kling Street between Ledge Avenue and Cahuenga Blvd., Toluca Lake.
