Country music star coming to Newark

Clint Black, an award-winning singer/songwriter, is bringing a special show to Newark, when “A Clint Black Christmas” takes the stage at the Midland Theater, according to an article in the Newark Advocate.

During the 1990s, Black became famous for his debut album, ‘Killin’ Time’, which went triple-platinum. His next album, ‘Put Yourself in My Shoes’ also went triple-platinum; after that, his other albums were all solid hits, reaching either gold or platinum status.

Black is not only a singer, but a songwriter who has either written or co-written all of his songs that have hit the charts. These include ‘Nothin’ but the Taillights’, ‘Like the Rain’, ‘Summer’s Comin’’, ‘When My Ship Comes In’, and ‘A Better Man’.

Throughout his career, Black has sold more than 20 million records, received more than a dozen platinum or gold awards in both Canada and the United States, been nominated for numerous other awards, including a Grammy, and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Black says that his Christmas show is “a fun night out for the audience” where he will showcase the talents of other band members, and have some fun. Organizers of events like this can work with a banner printing company to create a festive holiday banner for the venue.

‘A Clint Black Christmas’ is set for tonight, December 15, at 8 pm. Tickets are available by calling the box office at the Midland at 740.345.5483.
