Fayetteville area career fair open for local vets

Transitioning to “civvy street” can sometimes be a difficult change for someone who is retiring from military service, and an event that will be held near Fayetteville can make the shift a little bit easier.

A career fair is on offer for veterans, personnel who are leaving the military, and also their spouses or partners. A wide assortment of both local and national companies will be participating in the function, and it will also offer the attendees an opportunity to learn more about the different programs and other supports that may be helpful to them.

The event will include chances for employers and potential employees to meet face to face, and some may even be conducting interviews on site. There will also be plenty of networking, so those who plan on participating are reminded to dress to impress and take high-quality business cards and résumés to distribute.

The schedule for the day has set the start time for check in at 10:00 am, and the event itself will begin at 11:00 am. The day will be winding up at 1:00 pm, and entry is free for veterans, service members, reservists, military and veteran families, and DoD employees.

The Fort Bragg career fair will be connecting employers with a pool of skilled potential employees on February 28. The Iron Mike Conference Center has been selected to host the occasion.
