Event set to celebrate wild side of Bend’s rivers

December 2, 2018 by

Guide, paddler, and outfitter Zach Collier has spent a lot of time on, in, and around Bend’s rivers, and he along with a selection of other presenters will be sharing their love of these riparian areas next month.

Tumalo Creek Kayak and Canoe will be teaming up with Coalition for the Deschutes to offer a variety of high-energy presentations that will shine a light on these rivers and what makes them so important to the area. Everyone who loves these bodies of water is welcome, and the refreshments for the occasion will be supplied by Bend’s very own Boneyard Beer brewing company.

Presenters will be sharing stories of their time out on the water. There will be lots of time during the three hours of the function for the guests to mingle and get to know others who share their love of the area’s rivers.

While there is no admission fee for the evening, donations will be welcome, and those who are interested are asked to RSVP ahead of time. A local print shop can provide T-shirts, hats, sunglasses and other branded promotional products that can be offered as door prizes for an event like this.

The salute to the rivers that make Bend a great place for those who love to spend time on the water has been planned for January 12. Tumalo Creek Kayak and Canoe will be acting as the location for the party.
