Evening planned in support of area veterans

Veterans and their families are often called upon to make many sacrifices for their country. The French Embassy in Washington will be hosting a fundraiser that will benefit several organizations that lend these vets a supportive hand.

The connection between France and the USA will be the theme of the function, and it is sponsored by the District of Columbia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. Guests can choose between a general admission and VIP pass, and the organizers noted that, for security reasons, these need to be purchased at least seven days ahead of the event.

The evening of music, dancing and other entertainment will see heavy appetizers served, and there will be an open bar set up for the enjoyment of the attendees. The fundraiser is open to all, and when an individual registers, they are asked to provide their legal name as it appears on their ID. It was explained that this is necessary to ensure that the occasion will be secure for all,.

The start time for this year’s ‘Sweethearts and Patriots’ evening will be 7:00 pm. The planners of this type of function may wish to consult area print shops when making the arrangements for the celebration, as they will be able to supply them with any printed materials that might be needed.

Saturday, February 9 has been set as the date for this salute to the nation’s veterans. Tickets start at $115 each.
