Schenectady students offered chance to hit the ground running

Starting college can be a rite of passage for young people, and they, along with their parents or guardians, will soon be welcomed to a Schenectady orientation session that can make the transition from being a high school pupil to a college student a whole lot easier.

Many members of faculty and other supports will be on hand for the Schenectady County Community College’s new student orientation event, and it will run throughout the morning and into the afternoon. The attendees will be able to find out more about how to find their way around the campus, and locate the individuals and services that can aid them in making the most from their college experience.

Academic advisors, deans, success coaches, student ambassadors, and many others will be in attendance at the event, and they will be able to answer questions and provide tips and other advice. While it is free to be a part of this function, those who are interested have been asked to sign up ahead of time, as this can help in planning the function.

The orientation session will kick off at 8:30 am , and it will wind up at 1:30 pm. Promotional pens, notebooks and many other branded items can be prepared for this sort of occasion by a local printer, and they can all be crafted so they will include the school’s logo design.

January 17 has been set as the date for this opportunity for future SCC students to get their college days off to a great start. More information can be obtained by emailing
