Farmers’ market in St. Louis to increase hours

People who enjoy going to the Boulevard Farmers’ Market in the Richmond Heights area of St. Louis will have more opportunities to visit next year, according to a recent announcement.

The number of markets due to be held in Richmond Heights will increase substantially, opening weekly instead of monthly. This suburban market is a spin-off from the Tower Groves Farmers’ Market, and began last year in response to the success of the market’s first year of operations, where over 1,000 people came out each time the market opened.

In addition to the weekly markets, a Holiday Market and Spring Festival are being planned for the Boulevard Farmers’ Market location. When events like this are planned, organizers can work use banner printing to decorate the venue for the occasion.

The Tower Grove Farmers’ Market’s co-founder, Patrick Horine, said that the Boulevard Shopping District was the ideal place to open a second market. There is enough space for the market to eventually expand to 100 vendors or more. The Tower Grove market was established in 2006, and has won a number of awards since then, including one from the Riverfront Times, naming it the Best Farmers’ Market.

The Boulevard Farmers’ Market will change its schedule starting in 2019, opening every Sunday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm, from May 5 until November 24.
