Dallas’ latest pop-up, a satellite of La Popular Tamale House

When it comes to tamales, one of the leading players on the Dallas stage recently launched a temporary second pop-up site.

La Popular Tamale House has opened a satellite store at the intersection of Fitzhugh Avenue and Bryan Street, a newly trendy area. The pop-up is the result of a growing demand and will remain up throughout the holidays.

Located on the opposite side of the street from the Urbano Café and Jimmy’s Food Store, the pop-up is looking to collaborate with neighboring businesses. This includes the small convenience store next door.

La Popular Tamale House owner Jesse Moreno points out that the convenience store’s Mexican beer selection could pair nicely with their tamales to go. In the same vein of keeping it local, the new satellite store is working at creating a breakfast taco that will incorporate Jimmy’s famous sausage.

The new location has been home to a number of endeavors including a taqueria and pizzeria. Print shops are vital for new businesses looking for effective promotional tools.

Special holiday items including the Moreno family’s special salsa are available beginning Thanksgiving week for purchase at the website DallasTamaleHouse.com. The pop-up’s hours of operation will be 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Thursday through Sunday, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas week when it will be in operation seven days a week.
