Stories with Santa session set for Oakdale area

November 20, 2018 by

The holiday season will soon be here, and a special guest form the North Pole will be taking some time out of his busy schedule to meet Oakdale’s younger residents.

Santa and the staff at RH Stafford Library in Woodbury will be sharing some of their favorite tales with the kids who come to the Bedtime Stories with Santa event. Both children and parents and caregivers are welcome, and the youngsters are invited to bring along a cozy blanket and wear a comfy pair of PJs for the occasion.

Along with the stories, there will be a cookie decorating station, and this is just a small part of the fun that will be on offer. The kids can make a craft project to take home and concoct their own signature version of a traditional cup of hot chocolate. They can share their wishes with Santa, and their parents or guardians are reminded to bring a camera so they can capture the fun. They are also asked to bring along an unwrapped new toy, as these will be gathered and donated to the Toys for Tots program.

While all ages are welcome to be a part of the event, the organizers noted that the stories are best suited to the younger crowd. As the event is expected to be a popular one, pre-registration is required. A company that crafts promotional products can supply custom bookmarks and other swag to give out during this sort of festive occasion.

This chance for Oakdale’s younger children to enjoy the magic of the holiday season will be offered on December 5. It will be held in the old Mattress Firm space in Woodbury.
