Studio City starts Thanksgiving Day with Drumstick Dash

November 19, 2018 by

For an opportunity to get into shape for that Thanksgiving dinner, and to give to charity at the same time, many local runners, walkers and stroller pushers are signing up for the 2018 Drumstick Dash LA. Kids can enter their own Lil Gobbler run.

The event is an annual 5m/10k running event to raise funds for San Fernando Valley hungry and homeless. The theme of this year’s event is ‘Move Your Feet So Others Can Eat!’ The event organizers are expecting a large turn out as over 1,400 runners participated last year.

This will be a family-oriented race, and registrants will receive tech-tees sporting the event’s graphic design, finisher medals, water during and refreshments after the race, live entertainment, and admission to the Expo.

There will be staggered start times so participants need to assess their pace times and enter at the appropriate times. Walkers and those pushing strollers will be at the back.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission. The mission feeds, shelters, and clothes the homeless here in the San Fernando Valley.

The Drumstick Dash 2018 will begin and end at the CBS Studios Backlot, 4024 Radford Avenue, this Thursday morning, November 22. Starting time for the 5K and 10K will be 8:30 am. The Lil’ Gobbler Run will begin at 10:00 am.
