Andover library offers abundance of activities and workshops in December

Memorial Hall Library in Andover will be holding several events next month.

The Friends of the Library Holiday Book Sale will feature books of gift-giving quality for people of all ages, and will include many genres of books, including seasonal favorites, nonfiction, fiction, among others. It will be held on Saturday, December 1 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

There will be a Winter Recital of piano music by the students of the Merrimack Valley Music Teachers Association. This event will take place on Sunday, December 2, at 2:00 pm.

Adults will be able to enjoy board games together at the Adult Board Games event. The library will provide games or attendees can bring their own. This will be held on Monday December 3 beginning at 5:30 pm.

Make@MHL will be holding two types of events. The first is Tech Tuesdays where attendees will learn how to do poster printing, use a 3D printer, and much more. This event will be held on Tuesdays, December 4, 11, and 18 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

The other event is a Beads & Buttons Workshop, where staff members Gerry Deyermond and Vicki Murphy will demonstrate bead making and enable active engagement among participants in the library’s new Makerspace. This will be held on Wednesday, December 5 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
