New retailer part of the furniture in Gurnee

RoomPlace, a Lombard-based furniture retailer, is opening a new location in Gurnee Mills Mall today. This is the 27th store in the chain.

The company’s move to Gurnee will help to increase the company’s footprint, which is part of an overall strategic initiative. Although it has many outlets, this is only the second one to be located in the setting of a traditional mall. RoomPlace will occupy the premises that formerly housed TJ Maxx.

RoomPlace’s CEO, Paul Adams, said the organization was proud to open in Gurnee Mills, which has recently been updated. He reiterated his company’s commitment to making affordable and stylish furniture available to the millions of shoppers who visit Gurnee Mills annually. In addition, the location will bring jobs to help support the local economy. At present, over 750 employees work for the company.

The RoomPlace has served Indiana and Illinois communities for over a century, offering name-brand mattresses as well as furniture. It also offers financing plans. When stores open new locations such as this, managers have an opportunity to create letterheads that reflect the new address and other information accurately. They could also consider working with a business card printing company to create appropriate cards for sales personnel and other employees.

RoomPlace’s other Illinois locations are in Waukegan, McHenry, Vernon Hills, Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, Algonquin, Lombard, Bloomingdale, Downers Grove, Orland Park, and Aurora.
