Charity Comic Con announced for Fort Worth

November 10, 2018 by

The Fanboys Comic Con will host a charity benefit to raise funds for Cook Children’s Health Care System.

A two-day comic con event will help to raise money for the largest medical network dedicated to children in Texas. The Cook Children’s Health Care System is a not-for-profit organization that serves the medical needs of children throughout the area. The proceeds earned from the comic con will support the programs the system offers.

The Fanboys Comic-Con is typically the largest one-day event of its type of the state and will include a second day this year for the fundraiser. The event celebrates all genres, including movies, comics, games, and more. This year’s event will include artist Sam de la Rosa from Marvel and DC Comics, along with writer and humorist Kit Lively from Mad Magazine.

The event is an opportunity for fans and those that want to break into the industry to meet others with similar interests. Attendees can get ideas for graphic design projects, discover the latest news, and enjoy the crowd while also helping out a charitable cause.

The event will take place at the Ridgmar Mall on December 8 and 9. The mall is at 1888 Green Oaks Road in Fort Worth. General admission ticket prices are for a suggested donation of $5 to $20 each. The event will last from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on December 8 and from noon to 6:00 pm on December 9. Visit the Eventbrite site for tickets.
