Henderson area conference to help kids get gardening

Installing a garden can offer multiple benefits for a school, and a Henderson area conference will be exploring these and also sharing details of how educators can invite their students to get their hands dirty.

The delegates who register for this year’s School Garden Conference will include administrators, teachers and other educational professionals, parents, and also the general public. Along with the presentations and group discussions, both breakfast and lunch will be served, and a reception will provide time for the attendees to mingle and get to know one another as they share best practices and other tips.

The organizers of the event noted that more than 50 presenters – including teachers, students, principals, and also keynote speakers – will be present. They will be sharing details about their own programs and providing inspiration. Teaching professionals who take part may qualify for continuing education credits, and administrators will have a chance to find out how they can have their school added to the Green our Planet wait list.

An event like this can give those who are interested in adding a garden to their school a chance to find out how they can do so. It can also provide opportunities for them to connect with others who share their interest, and having a supply of business cards on hand will make it easy for them to exchange contact details and keep in touch.

This year’s School Garden Conference has been rescheduled to February 23. It will be held at 6795 Edmond St. in Las Vegas, and anyone who would like to find out more is invited to visit its website.
