Two Town Turkey Trot runners preparing for Thanksgiving race

November 8, 2018 by

Before they sit down to their Thanksgiving dinner, residents of Flemington are asked to lace up their sneakers and hit the pavement in support of their neighbors who may not be as fortunate.

The runners, walkers and rollers in the Two Town Turkey Trot will follow a course that will take them from Lambertville to New Hope, and both a one mile and five-kilometer option are on offer. It will be held in the morning so that the participants can have some fun, burn off some calories, and be done in time to put the Thanksgiving turkey in the oven.

The runners and walkers can feel good knowing that they will be helping programs offered by the Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce, as well as the community initiatives of Fisherman’s Mark. Volunteer and police from both New Hope and Lambertville will be lending a hand during the race and fun run, the event will be staged at the Lambertville Station.

The Two Town Turkey Trot will be held rain snow or shine. A local printer can play a role in this sort of function by supplying banners, race bibs, signs and other items, and it can also supply logo design and other services.

Those who register for the race are asked to be at the staging area, which can be found at 11 Bridge Street in Lambertville to register starting at 7:30 am on November 22, and the race will begin at 8:00 am. Additional information can be found on its event listing.
