Arts Center East in Vernon has multiple events coming up between now and Christmas

C. Flanagan Flynn is hosting a workshop about writing novels and memoirs every Wednesday in November, as well as on December 12, running from 9:30 am until noon. The cost is $95 and early registration is essential, as the sessions are known to sell out. The purpose of the workshop is to teach writing tools and provide structure and guidance. Students can be at any writing level.

On December 1, Ceil Rossi is hosting an event for children about acrylics and pouring medium. Held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, kids from 7 to14 years old are welcome. There will be a similar event for adults the following week at the same time. Both events cost include materials and cost $40. Experience with paint is not required, but participants should wear clothes that they do not mind getting stained. The artwork has to dry overnight and be taken the next day.

Rossi is also holding a mixed media workshop on creating leaf patterns on gourd bowls. Students will burn a maple leaf stencil on the bowl and then paint it using a blend of colors. Students do not need to provide materials. The workshops are November 17 and 18 from noon to 3:00 pm. The cost is $100.

Flyer printing helps spread the word of events going on in an organization and can give people a visual reminder. They can also take notes on the flyer.
