Fourth Ward to host holiday home tour

November 3, 2018 by

Charlotte’s Fourth Ward is well known for its historic properties, and a tour has been organized that will give the public a chance to view these homes all decked out in their holiday decor.

The self-guided Fourth Ward Holiday Home Tour will follow a route that can be walked. Ticket holders will be welcome to view the outdoor decorations, and they will also be invited in at a selection of the locations where they can enjoy the indoor festivities as well.

Along with viewing the holiday décor, guests can take a complementary ride in a horse-drawn carriage, sample some food and beverage pairings, and just soak in the atmosphere of the occasion. City restaurants will prepare small-bite dishes that will be served to the guests, and there will also be music and other entertainment.

This year’s tour has been planned for early December, and he tickets are $35 each. Those who purchase one can visit on any of the three days, and while they can break their tour up, it is asked that they visit each location only once. A guidebook will be distributed to every person who registers for the event, and items like these can be prepared by an area printing services provider.

This opportunity for the public to experience the 41st annual Fourth Ward Holiday Home Tour will be offered on December 7, 8, and 9. It is organized by Friends of Fourth Ward, and further details can be found on its website.
