Kids cooking class on offer near Carlsbad

Cooking and baking are life skills that can be useful to just about anyone, and a Carlsbad area workshop will be inviting kids into the kitchen.

The class is intended in such a way that students will be having so much fun they will not even realize they are learning. It will be held in Lazy Acre’s Moonlight Room, and can accommodate both dairy-free and vegetarian diets upon request.

The pupils will construct mini gingerbread houses to be decorated and displayed at home. Gingerbread men are also on the menu, and the kids can decorate these any way they like. The final item that will be prepared will be fresh fruit cups, and all of the dishes have been chosen so that they can be created by a child-parent pair.

This event is intended for children ages five to nine along with their parent or adult caregiver. A printing services provider can supply simple cookbooks to the students in a class like this so that they can continue to practice their new skills even after the event is over.

The date for this hands-on workshop has been set as December 8. It will run for one hour, and tickets start at $35 for each adult and child pair. Tickets for additional children can be purchased separately.
