November 4, 2018 by

All Northern Virginia is invited to attend the upcoming Enchanted Forest 2018. This is one of the area’s premier traditional preholiday events.

The fun will include kids’ crafts, Santa visits, live entertainment, and a ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ experience.

One of the highlights will be the silent auction, where over 80 decorated wreaths and holiday-themed trees from the Enchanted Forest will be up for bids.

The first day will begin with breakfast with Santa, which will be followed by the tree lighting ceremony. The forest opens at 11:00 am with crafts, the silent auction, entertainment and the first Kids in the Holiday Kitchen experience. The first of two gingerbread house decorating sessions will begin at 11:00 am too. There will be a one-hour photo session where kids can get their pictures taken with Santa. This is an opportunity to get photos and take them to nearby stationery printers to be made into 2018 holiday cards.

Early in the afternoon, Arlington children can take a break with Santa and enjoy cocoa and cupcakes. Then, the second session of gingerbread house decorating will commence. The evening will conclude with the over-21s’ Merry & Bright Bash.

The second day will have about the same format as the first day.

The Enchanted Forest is scheduled for December 1 at the Sheraton Tysons Hotel 8661 Leesburg Pike, Vienna from 9:00 am until 11:00 pm, and December 2 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
