Drakes Barn brings food, drink and entertainment to West Sacramento

October 30, 2018 by

Drake’s Barn in West Sacramento has just held its grand opening. This two-acre venue is owned by the Drake Brewing Company, and is located at 985 Riverfront Street.

The venue has many special events scheduled weekly, such as festivals, fundraisers, musical performances, and brew fests. It has an outdoor pavilion, which is a curvy shingled structure that provides 6,000 sq. ft. of shade in the warmer months. This will no doubt be a big asset for entertaining in the warmer weather.

Drakes Barn also offers customers a variety of dining experiences. This includes a new restaurant called PizzaSmith with a wood-fueled pizza oven. The pizza menu was created by the executive chef of PizzaSmith, Taylor A. Smith. It will have 14 thin-crust pizzas with different ingredients using meats, fish and fresh produce from the onsite farm.

Developers have also added an outdoor bar, and beer garden that seats 400 people. The Barn has its own food truck and spaces for six more during the weekends.

There are two outdoor stages, as well as plans to develop a children’s area, and bocce court. West Sacramento has printing services that design promotional products for venues like this.

The venue serves several types of craft beers, and will be open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday following its October 24 to 28 grand opening.
